Corridor
Updates to this have been few and far between of late. No real reason other than laziness… as I have a ton of images to process and put up.
I’ve gone for a shot I took when we arrived at our hotel in Singapore. The warm light and repetition of the shadows are what does it for me.
I’m a sucker for these sort of photos. Love the symmetry of corridors and hallways, and love the leading lines up the corridor. Especially love the composition of the window towards the top of the image. Al it needs is a person leaning nonchalantly against a wall or walking down the corridor and it would make it imho!
P.S. Looks *heaps* better in my RSS reader as the image is bigger, slightly restricted by the theme here. You should consider showing them off larger!
Very nice Mike. I like these types of photos too. The pattern on the floor looks great.
Love it. I wonder if you had taken the light reading from the Exit sign and exposed so that it was just about readable and under exposed the foreground whether it would have made a nice moody low-key corridor. Maybe make it even creepier by posing someone in a hooded coat under the exit sign – you’d probably have to trigger a flash above his/head as the exit sign itself probably wouldn’t create enough downward light to make the effect
