A couple of weeks ago I spent some time down in Christchurch shooting for Thermosash, one of New Zealand’s largest curtain wall manufactures & installers.
This time round two of the buildings were the Solid Energy Building at Show Place and the soon to be demolished IRD building in the Red Zone (Christchurch CBD).
Having a little look at abstraction today. I really enjoy shooting this sort of work as it makes you think a lot more purposefully about what you are and are not putting in the frame.
Following on from yesterday below is the Meridian Building situated at Kumutoto – Wellington Waterfront.
What a gorgeous day it was yesterday! and what better way to spend that day than to jump in the car and head into town for a walk around the waterfront in the sun.
The waterfront’s changed a lot in the 7 years we’ve been living overseas. There are several new fantastically designed commercial buildings along with some new restaurants & bars.
However there are also some little design quirks that really have no other place than in Wellington. The toilet below for instance… Designed by Bret Thurston of Studio Pacific Architecture.
