This was taken in Bugis Street market, a great little market that was about 2mins walk from our hotel in Singapore.

Quite enjoyed the original of this shot so and whilst browsing for inspiration I found this post production method that I thought would be fun to reproduce. Let me know your thoughts….

This was taken around Little India, as I mentioned in an earlier post we’d decided to walk around the area fairly early in the morning so everything was pretty deserted. So rather than making colourful images of the local markets etc I took to the architecture a little.

Still working on the Singapore images so they will trickle through slowly over the next month :p

I wanted to capture a bit of the pace that a heavily populated Asian city comes with and have worked the colours to work that neon feel that parts of Singapore had.

Took this while out for dinner in Kampong Glam, lots of little dark laneways like this… it felt a little dodgy, but I doubt we needed to feel that way. We both enjoyed a Shisha just around the corner from here before crashing out for the night.

I took this while in Martinborough getting married earlier this year. We were lucky enough to enjoy these wonderful plains backed by the Tararua Ranges.

Now I can’t find the name of the temple I took this in… but this place was amazing…. there where literally hundreds of these statues around the temple alone with a few of the full sized ones as well.

Catching a bit of shade… although I don’t know why we bothered as it’s hot no matter where you stand. But this guy had the right idea… sit down, take a load off and relax :)

I wish we were back there :)

Another shot from Singapore back in April. Love this city! I’d live there if the right opportunities arrose :)

Took this in Little India. It was pretty early in the morning when we went strolling through so people weren’t really out and about. Retrospectively it was good to see a quieter side to what would have no doubt been a very busy area later in the day.

Updates to this have been few and far between of late. No real reason other than laziness… as I have a ton of images to process and put up.

I’ve gone for a shot I took when we arrived at our hotel in Singapore. The warm light and repetition of the shadows are what does it for me.
