Given I think I’ve shot maybe 3 rolls of film in my life I was a tad worried about my ability to meter without a light meter on the subject (I had one but not a spot meter). These are a couple of the odd ones that came from those couple of weeks. I need to get the neg’s re-scanned as I’d only got low res from the lab. So will post the rest when I’ve had a chance to put a few adjustments on them. In the mean time here’s 4 straight out of the camera.

As an interesting note; check out the railway image… not entirely sure what happened here? Perhaps something to do with the processing or when being scanned… but I like it :)

Saturday’s weather wasn’t to crash hot, but with camera’s over my shoulder we hit the city to check out the Intercontinental Melbourne and the JA Substation.

On Sunday we aimed to check out the Recital Center and AAMI Park… but due to my considerable lack of planning, we found that both of these were open on Saturday only… Muppet.

Not letting that stop us enjoying a gorgeous winters day in Melbourne we drove down and parked up near the Sydney Myer Music Bowl. Wondering through there we stopped to capture a few images then carried on to capture a few exterior shots at AAMI Park.

Below are the results of the weekend.

On top of this I have a few roles of 120 Film to process from the Hasselblad I’ve been lucky enough to borrow for a week. More on that soon : )

So yesterday I grabbed the tripod and camera and headed down to Docklands to see what new buildings have sprung up.

It still doesn’t seem to have taken off in Melbourne…. plenty of apartment buildings, new office buildings and shops, but barely a person to be seen.

Anyway, I found a couple of buildings I liked with an interesting facades, so walked around them looking for some interesting angles to capture.

In keeping with the dark moody day its been today I’ve processed these as black and white, added some noise and punched in a bit of contrast.
