Working on some new images for my folio and thought I’d share one from Friday that I quite enjoyed.
Well I’m about half way through the current semester at PSC, and have begun to capture images for the next folio project. This time it’s a two part project, one part is completely open and the second must involve people. The below images are intended to be from the ‘open’ section of the folio, which [...]
So… back on track with an image from the honeymoon tonight :)
This image was taken down Jalan Petaling in KL, which is the Chinatown Market area of the city. It’s a busy little street with lots being sold… particularly illegal DVD’s. I think in the walk down that street we had about 5 different guys try to get us into their shop to look at DVD’s. [...]

Not entirely sure what made me pull the camera to my eye for this shot, but I’m generally pleased I did. Six blacked out people walking in amongst a sea of light coloured clothing… It had to be black & white, colour would not have done the frame justice.
We’ve had a lovely dinner and drinks this evening with our good friends Peter and Lauren. As I’ve just purchased my new lightstand and umbrella to complete my small strobist kit I asked if peter would sit for me and let me take a dramatic portrait of him. I really wanted to isolate him and [...]
